Coach Ted Davis is a 1991 graduate of Berkley High School and 1995 graduate of Alma College.  As a four-year letterman at Alma, he broke 4 school records and finished 6th in career points.

 

Ted began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Alma before starting the USS program at the Detroit Yacht Club.  Building the program from 20 swimmers and 2 State Qualifiers to over 40 swimmers with several State Qualifiers.  Ted also worked with Taylor Public Schools as an assistant High School Coach for Taylor Kennedy Boys and Taylor Combined Girls, winning a Mega Conference Title with the Boys squad in 1999.

 

After a break from coaching swimming, Ted started to coach with the Speedsters program in September 2003.  Helping young swimmers improve their technique in a non-competitive environment.  Ted also worked as an assistant for the Cranbrook Boys and Girls High School Teams for the 2005-06 seasons.

 

In September 2006, Coach Tim Skowronski brought Ted to DRD to be the Assistant Head Coach and the primary coach of the Juniors group.  Ted looks forward to many great years at DRD and to build on the strong tradition of helping excellent young swimmers achieve all their goals.
