Coach Tim Skowronski is a 1993 graduate of Woodhaven High School. As a four-year letterman and captain of the swim team, he finished in the top 5 in school history for total points earned two years in a row. Another accomplishment Tim earned was becoming the second male athlete in school history to be on the all-time Top 10 list for every individual event during the school's 21-year history.

Tim began his coaching career in Trenton as an Assistant Coach to the Trenton Swim Club before being one of the first coaches involved with the Woodhaven Wave Runners swim club. After helping build the Woodhaven program from 18 to 75 swimmers in a four-year span, Tim turned his attention to high school coaching.

During the fall of 1996, Tim began working with Woodhaven High School as an Assistant Coach. After two years, he became Head Coach of the program and made significant strides towards developing a higher level of student-athlete. Along with leading the team to a school history best 12-1 record, his athletes broke 10 school records and qualified for the state meet three years in a row after an 11-year drought of state qualifiers from the men's team. His fellow coaches honored Tim by choosing him Coach of The Year during the 1999-2000 season.

In April of 2001, Coach Matt Erickson brought Tim to DRD to be the primary coach of one of the four tiers of DRD, the Juniors group. At the state meet in March of 2001, DRD had only one athlete qualify from the 12 and under portion of the team. Since that meet, the 12 and under group has seen multiple positive changes. Tim became the Head Developmental Coach for DRD in October of 2001 and with the efforts of the other coaches and swimmers, the developmental portion of the team has continued to thrive and impress. Not only does Tim qualify multiple athletes for every state meet, but several of these swimmers finish in the top 16 at the state meet, if not better. Since March of 2002, Tim has developed numerous top 8 finishers and 19 state champions. Out of this elite group, there has been at least one winner in each of the four competitive strokes. Many of these state qualifiers and champions have gone on to compete and excel at the Zone, Sectional and Grand Prix meets along with shattering most of the DRD team records. Tim was elected head coach of DRD August 2006.

Tim's Birthday is November 12.
